I’ve never understood FFLs jabbing people in fees.

If you bought a firearm that the shop has on the shelf I completely understand them charging a little more.

If it is a firearm the shop does not have in stock then I would expect them to understand why you bought the firearm. online.

they have to pay someone to log the firearm, run the background check, and maintain the paperwork for decades. But you call it easy money.

We’ll just agree to disagree. The time it takes from the time I walk in to the time I walk out for one pistol is under an hour. If I pay you $20-25 bucks that’s a good hourly rate for providing a service. If easy money bothers you I’ll call it good money. And it’s deserved. What bothers me is the attitude. If you’re gonna sell guns, be an FFL and are required to accept transfers as a condition be as good to that customer just as you are to someone buying a gun from you. Either way it’s revenue and ultimately good for your business.

I’ll repeat, if I can get a pistol for $100 cheaper online I’d be stupid not to, whether the LGS has it or not. My preference would always be to go local and support the local economy and LGS. But if I can save $100+ and buy extra mags, a holster and ammo, then that’s my choice every time.

Admittedly my anecdotal negative experiences with 2 FFLs isn’t necessarily a reflection on all FFLs. Like I said, my buddy is an FFL. I respect the hell out of any entity supporting the 2A.
