I moved to Tallahassee two years ago. Was invited to the FSU-Florida game last night. Was blown away by the energy of the fans. Lots of different cheers going on the whole game(not the stupid chopahawk which I hate). I wish the younger generation could take over the Box and do something similar. It’s time for old leather lungs and K lady to move aside.

We are fortunate LSU redefined a college baseball atmosphere in the early 90s.

A&M and FSU have never moved on from the 80s. That was back when you had to be a little different to follow college baseball.

Yup the elephant in the room is that the grand stand is full of low energy blue hairs and company seats.. it’s going the way of the PMAC. Woody needs to redistribute those tickets to students and will call to pump some energy back in.

It’s FSU-Florida, of course they’re going to be hyped up. I’m just willing to bet that’s not a typical crowd for a midweek game in Tallahassee

Yeah, my trip to Dudy Noble a few weeks ago was very eye opening. I know they're the pinnacle college baseball experience right now and it's unfair to compare to them. But still. It was almost like being at a different sport. You could tell our team was rattled by it too.

A really good FSU hosting their hated rival who is ranked high. They play three times a year and FSU was trying to sweep the season series. They're hot right now.

OFC they show up. LSU fans get pissy when we aren't doing well as we think we should and stop showing up to games.

They never win Jack but it's fun in the stands. Compared to LSU 7 national titles and I guess this guy wants to dance the whole game instead of watch and cheer.

I went to an Auburn-FSU game in the late 80’s. Sat in the fsu section. When those drums kick in and the band plays the war chant, it’s pretty bad arse.

FLA ST is currently the #10 ranked team. They were playing @ home vs. their hated in-state rival. Home games vs. FLA and MIA will always be packed (SOLD OUT) and bring out the raucous fans. Attend next week's game vs. North Florida and report back on the attendance and how festive the crowd is.
Pretty sure games at Mike Martin Field / Dick Howser Stadium last year were like a graveyard when FSU went 23-31.

Is "leather lungs" the guy who tries to get all the chants going in the crowd at every sporting event?

The problem is that the “younger generation” can’t get season tickets once they are no longer a student.

That leaves us with older people and corporations owning most of the “good” seats.

We complain about the money people taking over LSU athletics and then we complain about the lack of money LSU has to spend on NIL

Which is it?

Alex Box sucks. Not a good atmosphere whatsoever.

Florida State baseball attendance in 2021 was 45,000. LSU was over 400k. Can't compare.
