So if you were running a team, would you only use stats to construct a lineup? Would you not factor in potential, or recent at bats? Just straight overall batting average?

I would factor in alot of things but I know enough not to put a guy in the lineup who in his entire career has never hit his weight in SEC play.

He has played 4 SEC series this year. Why not play a cfer who is just as good defensively and cant hit worse.

I am factoring recent at bats just not selective stats.....2 for 19 in SEC play very recent and very relevant.

Somewhere in that frame of Kling's was worth a few mill by the MLB that he turned down to come here. I think Kling is trying to be the hero and be the next great CF. It's clear as day he's putting the pressure on himself instead of doing what got him here.
