While very few teams are going to expect their center to be a top 3 point shooter, they at least have to show they are capable to knock one down from deep here and there when left open. Guys like Jokic, Giannis, AD, Nurkic, etc aren't going to shoot a ton of 3's per game. Generally only 1-3 attempts. But they have to be capable to fully facilitate the offense.

Edey has taken two three point attempts in his ENTIRE Purdue career. Couple that with the fact that he's not all that quick enough to guard NBA PF's and (many) Centers on the perimeter, and he's not a particularly high value player because his skill-set is limited.

That's not to say he can't find a spot on an NBA roster. But the college game is MUCH different than the NBA game.
