There are lots of folks I’ve known my whole life, who are rock solid conservatives, and are already having buyer’s remorse by their own admission.

Out of all the choices we had, there were a lot more R’s than D’s.

Stepping on his dick with the anthem thing is not worth chucking him.
Also, is this in the general or in the primary?
Because only GOP for Edwards retards would have voted for Wilson (even now)

We didn’t have a general so to speak. Just a primary.
And no, I don’t think anyone should be chucked on one sole issue.

Uh, yes...because his opponent would still be from the dark side of politics, huh?
No one will be perfect but let's give him a little more than 6 months to perform.

I didn’t last time. I voted Wags.

I voted for Schroeder.
That being said, had Landry been in a runoff versus a Dem, he was getting my vote.
As for this stuff with LSU, I don’t get it. Hopefully someone in his inner circle can be a voice of wisdom going forward and actually not simply be “yes men.”

So, you are referring to in the primaries?

Landry has already started creating an avenue for the next Democratic governor, if the DEMs can find a suitable moderate like JBE.
The saving grace for Landry and the idiot faction of the LA GOP who loves him is that the LA DEMs may, somehow, be a bigger shite show currently.

Coonasses voting for coonasses and then having buyers remorse. Whoda thunk! Being last in education has consequences.

Didn't vote for him the first time.
Schroder, Hewitt and Nelson were all more knowledgeable about real Louisiana budget and structural issues.
Neither would be having legislators file bills giving the 4th Floor more unilateral control over board positions, neither would be having legislators files bills trying to fine medial outlets for "defamation" speech, and all three, if they felt that the women's basketball team being in the locker room for the National Anthem was a big deal and complete embarrassment, would likely have talked with Coach Mulkey or the AD directly before running to social media for "look at me" attention.
Now that said, Jeff Landry has got to be better than Shawn Wilson or the previous eight years of John Bel Edwards. At least I hope. Louisiana can't afford him to not be.
As of now, though, he's just looking like a Republican version of JBE and trying to be like Huey Long.

There were other conservative candidates in the race. Saying "I wish Landry wasn't elected" doesn't mean one wanted Shawn Wilson out of the field to prevail.

You're right. I forgot about that.
I voted for Wags anyway.

He didn’t have “an” opponent. He won the jungle primary.

His policies are going to cost us hundreds of millions of dollars annually. That’s a much bigger deal than the stupid non-anthem bullshite.

I don't think LA Democrats have someone like that on the bench. Jack Montoucet has basically disappeared after being part of a federal investigation, resigning as Secretary of DWF. Austin Badon down in NOLA recently switched to Republican. We haven't heard from Butch or Nick Gautreaux in ages.
Maddie Landry or Royce Duplessis ain't winning a state-wide race in Louisiana.
Cedric Richmond and Mitch Landrieu are probably smart enough to not bother even trying.
