He did get his arse beat and pinned right in the middle of the ring. Can't blame Dustin.

So the Main Event was the second longest match in WM history behind Bret vs. Shawn. They went 40 minutes

And most of that time was spent laying on the mat or staring at each other. The match felt clunky, to me. I was dying for it to end around the 25 minute mark.

I just can’t do these super long shows, anymore. How a show with six matches runs 4.5 hours is beyond me. If WrestleMania was still a one day event, you’d have to clock-in to watch.

Yes - I agree these PPVs tend to run long. We all knew the Roman match was going to go long.

Overall, I enjoyed it. I think tonight will be better tho.

I really loved ladder match yesterday though!

I don’t know how fans with wives and children pull off watching so much wrestling. I see what I can and read about the rest, here.

My kids return to school from Easter break tomorrow, so there’s no way I’ll watch much tonight, especially since it’ll likely run until 11 PM.

WrestleMania III had 12 matches and only ran 3 hours! Not every match has to play out like Citizen Kane.

You gotta remember it’s not just about wrestling. It’s about light shows and entrances and media and all these other logistics. It’s a spectacle. And that’s how they present it.

Hate to say it this way, but if you want JUST wrestling, then I’m sure AEW or NJPW is for you. As for me and my kid, the whole presentation as a whole is why we watch. And can totally understand why it runs so long.

Adapt or die. And the WWE has done an excellent job of adapting. If they presented the show the same as they did 37 years ago, no one is watching. Hell, if they presented the same show as 15 years ago, no one is watching.

At the end of the day, this is about money and the WWE trying to make as much as possible. And they succeed at it from top to bottom, IMO.

No arguments from me; you’re right.

I’m near 50 now and have watched since kindergarten, so I’ve seen all these changes unfold in real time.

These days, I get my wrestling fix by watching the old stuff, save for big events like tonight.

Maybe.

But they’d likely put a guy who worked like Andre in a 40 minute match with a dozen false finishes.

I wonder what Andre’s “Oh my God, I can’t believe my opponent kicked-out at 2” face would’ve looked like…
