I turned 50 last year and it gives you a moment of clarity, like you just start seeing things differently, in a good way.

40's we're pretty awesome. Good decade.

30's started off sucking due to some personal life issues but turned out good. The difference is in my 30's I worried about money and my career. Hell, I haven't thought about money now in about 10 years. No worries there.

I wish I could redo my 20's. Lot of regrets there about poor decisions and not really living life and enjoying being young.

There is no greater truth than "youth is wasted on the young."

I agree with a lot of this. Especially the redoing my 20's. I was raised in an extremely restrictive religious cult that I did not break free from until my mid-30's. I got out, started a business, got married, bought a ranch, and had a baby girl. I'll be 42 this year. Bidenomics sucks as a business owner, but I have the freedom to be home with my 18-month old as much as I want to be.

I feel like I've only really lived my own life for the past few years. If I'd been able to have an additional 10-15 years without living under the thumb of a cult, there's no telling where I'd be now.

The past few years have been fun, though. At least I'm not still living life according to someone else's direction. And my baby girl is absolutely amazing. She and her mom are the best parts of my life.
