I don't get it either. My wife and I make $140k, and we live very comfortably. But there's a lot we don't do to afford life right now.

My wife and I make great money. It still baffles me what I see people driving and affording.

180k for my family last year. We have 3 vehicles: 1 nice (2022 CRV), my truck (2012 Nissan Frontier) and the teens car they share (2011 Toyota Yaris).
All their little friends make fun of their car, most have much nicer. The median income in our town is around 80k at most.
