How is Surges golf simulator?

I want to go hit on a sim to track data on my swing, but don't want to get a full club fitting yet. I see the new surge has a sim. Where else can I go to just hit balls on a sim and not be bothered or sold stuff?

The one in Lafayette is pretty good, I'm assuming this one is about the same.
There is one on Hwy 16 in Denham Springs called The Gym, its a bar slash activity place. But its just a trackman.
There is another place in Covington that I haven't been to yet. I think its like a bar and grill with sims

Call ahead if you go there. It was broken for a while, and may still be.

Loft 18 in Mandeville is good. I have been to the one in Metairie too.
I have heard good things about Surge, but haven’t been to one yet

quote:well in BR, I have been once... not to do golf. But the bowling alley(private side) was nice. but it is skinny. the ball return was in my way as a right hand bowler. and the game selection was pretty bad. And each game was 2 or 3 bucks. If the prices were .50-1.5 i would have accepted the poor selection but man... those prices sucked arse. I wish it was a better arcade.

May try Golftec. I'm not sure how they structure the practice time. Like for members or random public.

I've never been but Schneiders off of Bluebonnet has launch monitors. Give him a call

It's not great. You get this soft golf ball. I m assuming so you don't break anything. From 9 iron to 6 iron they traveled almost the same distance. Wasn't very accurate at all. Normal 8i for me is between 150 and 160. Was only registering 125. Schneider's is a much better place to go if you are looking for data. To goof off and have fun try surge. It's a very different simulator it allows you to play football soccer and the multitude of sports. Probably why golf portion isn't accurate

Golf suites is an option. A basic range with track man.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it did. It also showed you your club path as well in slow motion if I'm not mistaken.
I'm not sure what type of sim it is though

Don’t sleep on Schneider's Golf Mechanics on Bluebonnet. Indoor golf simulators are great. And owner is even better.
