Their theory is based on assumptions like most initial thoughts are from people, but the assumption is purely that attacker is a white racist because it’s a college bar and victim is an international student (even though he felt comfortable enough to go to the bar and attack was outside the bar when leaving).
College bar there might have more white males (don’t know racial breakdown of ULM students or those going to this bar), but the city has more black males. Making an assumption that attacker is white or black male is perfectly reasonable, but with no other facts outside of race of victim and location the jumping to racism as cause and then going beyond perp to lump every white person around there as being racist is exactly what they say white southerners do towards blacks. It’s also the divisive politics they say Trump and supporters push.
Drunk college students fight, and as we have seen recently in Baton Rouge a drunk feeling aggrieved will wait outside the bar to attack someone. That’s even if attacker was someone from the bar in the first place.
The below comment which is pushing back against claiming racism solely because of the race of victim and being near a college bar appears to be getting down voted.

Always gotta push it to be racist. You and everyone else doing that makes it impossible to ever believe if an incident was or wasn’t racist.
