47 carries for net 79 yards?
1.7 YPC?
I think FSU just turned it over again.
Stafford doing his best Jarret Lee impression?

Yeah I've been wondering that too. They must have slept in that day.

GT beat Gardner Webb 10-7 this year. How could you not find that interesting nugget about our bowl opponent?

And GT got a tipped field goal at the end of the GW game to save the game from going to overtime.
FSU had like 8 turnovers in the game including a fumble into the endzone with 45 seconds left that would have given them the win. At worst shoulda been another overtime game.
Stafford threw Pick 6 for GT's early points to keep them in the game early on.

Geez, at least LSU dominated their D-1AA opponent...and they are a power.
Don't give me Troy, either. At least they won their conference and are bowling.

GT was down to its 3rd string QB in that game. Nesbitt nor Shaw played at all due to injuries. Gardner Webb scored after Michael Johnson was called for "jumping," after landing on a teammate, altering GW's FG attempt. The 15 yarder gave GW the ball at GT's 6 and they scored. Yes, GW missed a late FG that would have forced OT.
Not knocking the 3rd string guy, but when you run an option spread and the D doesn't have to respect 2 of the options (QB keeper or the QB being fast enough to get to the edge to make a pitch), you won't do much. The 3rd string guy isn't the best passer either. Our o-line played its worst game of the year as well.
GT was fortunate that we could deal w/key players out and still pull off a win.
I've tried to block the game from memory.

As far as FSU, they were fortunate. GT was up 31-20 driving on FSU's side of the field when Nesbitt went out injured. Our offense sputtered after that. Cooper Taylor made a heckuva play on the goaline, forcing the fumble.

We suffered that penalty in a more painful way in 2004.

As far as Ugag goes, the guy making the pick 6 was a 2nd team All-American and was tied for either 2nd or 3rd in the NCAA w/7 picks. Burnett is a good safety.
Stafford did throw for 400+ yards on us. They were unable to stop us in the 2nd half and we had a 26-0 3rd quarter. We finished w/409 yards rushing.

GT was dominating the shite out of FSU before Nesbitt went down.
We've discussed the Gardner-Webb game on the MSB multiple times this season. Try running the triple option with a drop back passer who isn't even a mobile drop back passer and you get 10-7.
