Do you think his crimes were at least on par with Madoff's?

If so, then you have to ask why he only received 25 years and Bernie received 150. SBF is young enough to enjoy some sort of life after prison considering he will probably be out after he serves 85% of it which is 21 years.

Yes but I think the biggest difference was volume/time.

SBF did his fraud over a what? 6 month period of time? It led to a higher volume of charges.

I think SBF got off on the relatively light side of things but people thought he wouldn't even be prosecuted.
