Yep. As a CPA, if you are in public accounting you are not going to be able to hold stock in certain companies based on your firms involvement. I see this very similar

Yep. As a CPA, if you are in public accounting you are not going to be able to hold stock in certain companies based on your firms involvement. I see this very similar


A player betting on their sport is pretty much the same as insider trading and shouldn't be allowed for the same reasons.

I compared it to FINRA rule 5130, where there are restrictions to purchasing IPOs when working for a broker-dealer. You may not have inside knowledge, but it could appear that way so you don’t do it.

People can try and get around it, but punishments are severe. I feel like sports gambling is the same way. You can try and do it, but you should be punished if caught.
