Maybe in some industries, but not all, as long as there are metrics in place to assess performance and productivity in leading a team or operation.
I am not saying it is always achievable, perfect or desirable in every situation, but your original statement was more blanketed that it couldn’t or shouldn’t be done and that just isn’t aligned with how the business world is working.
