Have you tried doing laundry for 4-5 people? Not the same as when you're a teenager.

A washer and dryer can only hold so many clothes. A bigger family will increase the frequency but it's still the same task each time. Put clothes in washer, put clothes in dryer, fold/hang clothes when they're done drying and put them up.

Listen to a podcast or put on an episode of a show you like while folding/hanging and you're done before you know it. It's really not that big of a deal unless you let it become one.

I would do all of the laundry and dishes in the fall during football games, folding laundry while watching a game is almost therapeutic.

Not necessarily. This is going on the assumption everything can largely be washed together, at the same frequency, or duration.

That shite piles up quick when you have the uniform that can't be washed with anything else, delicates that need to soak/gently wash/hang dry, some clothes that are dirtier than others and need special treatment.

I'm not saying it's rocket science but it isn't always as simple as wash/dry/fold.
