There are people teaching others how to do it. Depending on the state you can live free for a good long time. The owner can’t kick you out, turn off the water or remove the doors.
The leftist states care more about the actual criminal.
The new way to pull this off is to find an empty house to rent, break in and present a fake lease to the cops.
That very example led to Florida crushing squatters rights.
