He inherited the Lopez brothers from Mike Montgomery. Johnson inherited Tasmin and the Taranhigh scorer from Brady.

No he didn't!!!
Recruiting wasn't a problem for him @Nevada nor Stanford!!!
He has and had lifelong ties to the West Coast and Pacific NW as a player and asst coach!!

Johnson was able to recruit the Lopez Twins from Fresno AND Miles Plumlee(who was released from his commitment after Johnson left for LSU)!!
He played inside-out offense so he needed bigs that could rebound, play defense and be at least serviceable on the block..
As others have said he had a disdain for the AAU fixers and though very qualified to coach LSU didn't fit long-term as he did turning Nevada around & winning 60% of ALL his games at Stanford!!
You dudes constantly rehash untruths !!
