On the same day of being named the NABC District 22 Coach of the Year, McNeese first-year head coach Will Wade has been named a finalist for two National Coach of the Year Awards – The Jim Phelan Award and the Hugh Durham Award.
Wade, the Southland Conference Coach of the Year, has guided McNeese to its most successful season as a Division I school, rolling up a 30-3 record while capturing the Southland Conference regular season and tournament championships. He’ll lead the Cowboys into Thursday’s first round of the NCAA Tournament as a No. 12 seed against 5th-seeded Gonzaga at 6:25 CT.
Wade is one of 20 finalists for each award.

He did a damn good job this year.
Also, wrong board.

Does this help us or hurt us when we re-hire him? Salary wise.

Happy for him. He did a good job this year. Not surprised he was a finalist

Imagine if someone made a thread for every time Saban was a “finalist” for coach of the year at Bama

Wade ran Wade out. He shouldn't have lied to LSU officials when they gave him a chance.

Doesn’t seem like he’s being spurned by the college basketball establishment to me.

I'd rather talk about Will Wade than our crappy basketball program.

It's not like Saban left us to go to another college job.

It’s amazing how stupid we look in this whole thing. Especially when he lands a P5 job and does well there, as we know he will.
Sucks.
Sucks.

If we keep Wade, basketball is sanctioned into oblivion and they don't call off the NCAA from snooping around football. Remember all the shite that was coming out around the same time? They were snooping around because of all the Miles bullshite and paying player's parents for jobs they never held.
