Going to be in Lafayette area this weekend (closer to Broussard) and looking for a spot with good shrimp po boys and boiled crawfish. While closer to Broussard would be more convenient, really anywhere in the Lafayette area is fine. Any suggestions?

(closer to Broussard) although I haven't been to R&M The Boiling Point in several years, their food was always solid and consistent.

Dwight's (Johnson Street) or LA Crawfish Time (Verot School Rd) both have very good crawfish and serve po-boys.

check out the menus ... I wouldn't limit myself to the Broussard ONLY area. Laf is just a 10-15 min drive. go to a proven restaurant over geography

Head the other way and go to Bon Creole in New Iberia. Get you a little cup of gumbo while your there!

I’ll give another vote to BJ’s Po’boys in Broussard. I think they have the best traditional fried shrimp po’boy in the region, and slightly better than Old Tyme even though it’s the same owners (different cooks/frying oil is what I chalk it up to).

LT’s for crawfish.

If you are in town Friday for lunch, go to Shade Tree Cafe and get the Delcambre BLT.

FOr Po-Boys, Old Tyme and go to Chris's and have their Special... it is awesome, and get a cup of seafood gumbo with it... a total treat.

If you want to change it up on Sunday, go to Dwight's and get a BBQ plate with the pork steak and a side meat of smoked pork sausage, with rice dressing and sides of potato salad and green beans & potatoes... thank me after engulfing that stuff down!
