If they are from Honduras, why are they allowed to claim amnesty here? Why aren't they made to do so in the nearest country to their own, or certainly one nearer than the US?

Where are they currently being housed? At what facility? Or are they simply being told to "come back on such and such a date 6 years from now and we will process your case then.
