We ended up being seen 7 hours after initially being brought to the ER.
Despite the long wait, and questionable people who were really "ill," I can honestly say that everyone we encountered at the hospital was fantastic. While I didn't care for the long wait, these workers did (and do) their very best to see and care for everyone, based on what I observed. I can only imagine how difficult that is, especially when many are treating the ER like a doctor's office.
We ended up reaching a resolution around noon. Still a long way to go (away from the hospital), but thanks to all who offered support and comforting words.

Glad you were able to get a resolution and it's so true.
Doctors and nurses work their asses off in the ER.
They need to open more stand alone ERs, IMO for those "emergencies" people have, so true emergencies can be taken to the hospital.

For the most part, they all try their best. Its just the system is broken.
