re: Do you know anyone that actually got in trouble for skipping jury-duty summons?

I was in college and went on spring break the same week I had jury duty in the county I went to high school. I was registered to vote in the county I was going to school so I ignored the summons. While I was away the sheriff showed up at my parents’ house to arrest me. When I got back home, my mom lost her shite on me. I went to the courthouse to show them my voter registration from the other county. They said I was fine and sent me on my way. My mom is still mad 25 years later that her neighbors saw a sheriffs car show up in her driveway.
