Also like I said, the quote implies that having good intentions is a bad thing, what's the alternative?

Read the C.S. Lewis quote that was posted earlier. It’s not that good intentions are bad. It’s the believing that your good intentions trump the liberty of others.

quote:

I would argue those that led the revolutions didn't have good intentions. It was never the plan for someone like Castro to be equal to everyone else.

Maybe, I know that a lot of the folks that led the Communist revolution in Russia were driven by envy and revenge.

Sometimes people do more harm by trying to do the right thing, that is true. But I would argue that most of the time "moral busybody" people don't have good intentions, they have either "look at how good I am narcissist intentions," or just intentions of gaining and executing power over others. Overall having good intentions is a great thing, and it shouldn't be criticized, bc the alternative is of course way worse.

Yeah.

Also

I gave you a ring and I promised you things
I always thought we'd do
But my best-laid plan slipped right through my hands
To show my love for you
And if you could read my heart
Then you'd know without exception
It was all with the best of intentions
