Those were Plunkett's Patriot days playing for the worst team in the League as the #1 NFL draft pick as the Heisman trophy winner, running for his life because of no O-line. Think David Carr at Houston X10. And people complain about Joe Burrow's line, yeesh!

Go watch some film...the D manhandled receivers and buried QBs on every play if you had no O-line. He lost all confidence, Al Davis told him, you can still play, great touch, accurate, traded for him and said we have an O-line that can protect you...so you can read the defense, make plays and do your thing.

And he did and was the MVP of the 1980 Super Bowl. And won another in 1983.

he can be in the Hall of Very Good
he is not a Hall of Fame QB IMHO
