the federal investigation of LSU men's basketball and coach Will Wade remains active, multiple sources told Sports Illustrated this week. FBI agents have been in Baton Rouge recently, sources said, continuing an investigation that dates back several years.
Sports Illustrated said differently. Are they lying?

Yeah more than likely they are
Why are you such a scumbag boy?

Ja is 6’2. Far from today’s shooting guards. One player the best you got? You are a hater, end of story. I don’t care that Wade is gone. What I do care about is we are light years behind as a basketball program. At this point the only thing that has anything to do with Wade on that is the fact that they brought in a guy after him that can’t recruit and I’m beginning to question if he can handle the game itself at this level.
But yea, I’m a dumbass because I said he likes different type players that Wade. You bringing up football really has no relevance in that conversation.

Wade was a good coach and a great recruiter but with all of that NBA talent never got past second round in NCAA. John Brady did.
It took Dale 8 years to make it past the second round and it took Brady 3. Wade did it in year 2. Just sayin since you brought it up.

This is as bad as nick Saban crap get over it Nancy

All of it. We’re not on probation, there was no FBI investigation and the story you told is just something you made up.

Than why did you compare McMahon’s guards to running backs?
quote:
We have small guards that are stocky. You know one of the main reasons why Wade never was a Cook fan? He likes long and athletic guards, not running back builds that try and run over people.

My bad, I thought Wade recruited Cook.
Posted on 3/16/24 at 7:58 pm to 1984Tiger
Short, stocky would be why. Y'all trying to be cute with saying Ja Morant should be a linebacker just had no relevance and no comparison at all. I never once brought up Morant. But honestly Wade probably wouldn’t have went after Morant out of high school either so that furthers my point.
For Cook, he was never not going to be offered by LSU. It was very obvious that Cook didn’t fit in with Wade’s game once he got on campus. Wade all but put it out there that he welcome him to transfer.
Either way, I’m done with all of it. Wade is dancing, LSU isn’t. Strength of schedule can’t change that.
Lastly, it won’t be popular here but I will venture to say McMahon wouldn’t have won more than 18 games at McNeese this year. Not because I think he is a terrible coach, he would do good at that level. But…Wade has something that is superior to a lot of coaches. The ability to recruit and develop relationships. Don’t make any mistake about it, he strategically put together that roster he has. He even went far enough to say he stayed in contact with some guys that he knew he would recruit when he got another job.

Sports Illustrated's Employees Are Told Print Edition Will Close in May.

Can’t really say that for sure, but I’m inclined to believe as such.

It’s fairly annoying to me all of the wade and mcneese threads that come up here. But this is at least true. Most college coaches would win a lot of games at mcneese with the players Wade recruited there. Not a lot of coaches would be able to recruit them there however.

100%.
He knows how to game the system scheduling wise for NET purposes and he is more than willing to play the NIL game when older coaches sit there and bitch about it. He will thrive in this ERA.
I'm willing to say he will win a Natty by 2030 somewhere. Might be Michigan. Might be Oklahoma St. Might be Louisville. All I know is it won't be LSU

The southland is utter dogshit and will wade is too good of a coach and his players are too good for that conference
So, given the fact that LSU lost to a Southland team, does that mean McMahon's LSU is worse than dogsh*t?

Wade's teams could be fun to watch, but they could also be frustrating. That last season (2021-22) had some major downs, in particular losing 6 out of 7 games during mid season, punctuated by an ugly loss @ TCU, as well as an ugly first-round exit in the Tourney
They were ranked as high as like 12 before Pinson got injured late against Tennessee.
They were severely lacking PG depth. Had they had Adam Miller available to come off the bench while Pinson was battling injury they probably would have had a top 3 seed.
Had Fat boy Scott not fired Wade they would have had
Pinson
Miller
Mwani
Murray
Reid
Shareef
Gaines
Fudge
All back to go along with the top 10? 5? Class he had signed.
Would have been his most dangerous team yet from an athletic and versatility stand point
ETA: He had Julian Phillips (NBA) and Yohan Traore (14.5ppg at UCSB) signed.
A lineup of Gaines, Murray, Phillips, Fudge, and Traore would have been absolutely nasty in the 1-3-1 press.

Pat Forde was with SI. His was a straight up agenda driven mission along with Dick and IMHO coordinated along with Calipari, to bring WW down. And when you are agenda driven you compromise and exaggerate to meet that agenda.

Enough already about McNeese.

Yohan Traore (14.5ppg at UCSB) signed
I wonder why you failed to mention Traore's stats when he played in the sec,or the fact that he was downright terrible at Auburn, yet you guys say he was the big fish of Wades class, that class was only good on paper .Go ahead and throw Devin Ree in there also, let's not leave anybody off of this super class wade lovers often speak of

He was also playing Wilkinson 20-25 min a game...
He uses players differently. The players he had signed fit his coaching style.

All we do know is today you can tune in and see where his super class from mcneese is heading for the big dance. Have fun watching the national media mention a few times what a turnaround it’s been.
