Ties the single biggest turnaround in college basketball history but no he can’t coach. Fckn loser McMahon fans

McMahon is currently only one year behind the pace that Will Wade was on when he was trying to turnaround LSU.

He is a good coach. Will Wade wins where ever he goes.
I would recommend LSU hire him if they get rid of CMM.

I think poster is implying that McMahon has the results in season 2 that wade had in year 1. So a season behind

McMahon is very far behind.

Coach Will Wade’s five-year tenure at LSU will be noted for consistent winning and a return to interest in the basketball program at LSU.
During his time in Baton Rouge, the Tigers won a Southeastern Conference regular season championship in 2019, advanced to four post-season tournaments (including consecutive NCAA Tournaments in 2019, 2021 and 2022) and advanced to an SEC Tournament championship game for the first time since 1993.
LSU in the last four seasons (2019-22) won 48 regular season SEC games, tied for the second most of any team over that period.
LSU won 20 games or more in three-of-the-five seasons at LSU and finished his time at LSU with a record of 105-51 with 196 career wins for his nine years as a head coach. He finished 55-33 in the SEC over that time. His 105 wins made him the fourth winningest coach in LSU Basketball history.
In only five years.

Wade took over a team that went 2-16 in SEC play, and went 18-15 (8-10). McMahon went 2-16 in SEC play in his first year, then went 17-14 (9-9). Similar trajectory just a year behind.

Don’t bring facts here. Let the Wade psychopaths continue believing they’re being heard.

Doesn’t he know is takes a minimum of 4-5 years? According to rantards anyway
I'm not a rantard and I did like Wade and was sorry to see him leave BUT.....let's wait until this class graduates as he did inherit some pretty experienced players,

4-5 years in the Southland?, especially when about half the league has new coaches and and rosters. Hell Cory Gipson did the same thing for Northwestern State last year

Can’t compare a turnaround of a SLC team with their competition to an SEC team with their competition, different levels of competition
Don't know why this is so hard to understand for some

quote:Except that's not true. His 2 leading scorers came from Tulsa and TCU.
He turned around an SLC conference team with SLC level players and won the conference in year 1
quote:He beat one and it was 8-24 Michigan.
Not to mention beat some power 5 teams along the way
You people are not only insufferable, but extremely disingenuous. I love Wade. LSU didn't really have a choice in the matter. If you look at this from an actual objective lens, it was easier for Wade to get McNense to the tournament than it was for McMahon to get LSU to the tournament given their circumstances.

Had 5 years to turn LSU around and never did anything at all. And when he left here he left LSU in far worse shape than what they were when he got here.
