I'd be pissed too if I was you, but you Fd up going to the stealership. Lord only knows what dumb shite happened the first time they worked on it. Lots of volkswagen engines get wrecked from broken timing belts. Rod knock is not a common way for engines to go anymore in any application. Modern engines just flat out don't fail that way.
