As a public servant, you must take mandatory online courses that pretty much are check the block on ethics.

One instance i am directly aware of is a public high school principal that has direct kin working under him. This is a direct violation of ethics. And I am not talking about 1 "Oops i forgot she was my first cousin" type shite either.

Louisiana is corrupt from its core and nothing will ever change my mind as we see this every single day.

I thank God above everyday I didnt take the job I was offered in the New Orleans PD almost 30yrs ago. It stunk then and it stinks now!

I don't think non accounting folks understand how much more monitoring is flexed on private sector employees regarding investments than it is on public officials. Every, single, transaction I executed when I worked for Big4 was tracked and monitored. I couldn't get hired without divesting some positions. Am I on a board of a non profit for deaf kids? I have to state it. But, on the other side, be Mayor of MSY and like Fanni Willis, just flip the bird and move on. No consequences.
