I find it fascinating, generally. On smaller boards, you can watch for tendencies in most of the more prominent posters, and compare them to each other. But in here there are so many posters, that it’s harder, unless you just focus on a few at a time.

I think the most common ones are people that just do it to stir up crap, maybe so they don’t burn their real one. Some people get banned and start new ones. Some people are just that creative, and use it as an outlet. They’re the most fascinating ones to me.

I've no clue what El Gaucho's motivation is, but the guy is funny. Some of the shite he posts hilarious. There's the occasional swing and miss, but I think he bats over .500. As an added bonus, you get the reactions from posters who are unfamiliar with his shtick. It's all comedy gold.


I don't know what the hell is going through TulaneLSU's head. I would say he's on the spectrum, but his common themes and characters (walking great distances in a day, consuming quantities of food that would humiliate Joey Chestnut on that same day, Mother, Uncle, etc.) make me think he was raised in New Orleans, probably Uptown, and is just poking fun at the local "upper crust". Or maybe he's legitimately got Asperger's/autism. "82, 82, 82 ... 246."

I admire his dedication to his craft if for no other reason than the effort that must go into his marathon posts.
