Too much swinging for the fences instead of putting the ball in play when it counts

Maybe we need to work on just hitting first then we can work on situational hitting. 5 hits vs Xavier is horrendous

How about bunting with a 3-0 count and giving up an out. I can see bunting there on a 3-1 count but not a 3-0 count.

I thought Xavier did a phenomenal job of moving runners and getting them in hitting down the right side.

Apparently a lost art in the game.

This thread pops up every year. It’s early. It’s also fine. Go back last year and find this exact sentiment. We’ll be fine. Maybe even win a national title.
