He is not getting it done. To slow for back door cuts. Embarrassing

Sit for what? We have 1 game left now, but maybe earlier in the year? Just not many options other than him.

Guess there were 4 other Bakers on the floor then.

When he dribbles in the lane with the ball, it is a turnover waiting to happen.

Also, sometimes when he gets a rebound, comes down with it and tries to dribble, it seems like half the time the opponent takes the ball away from him. The result? Yet another turnover.

you know if the game and all the other athletes were just a little bit slower and less athletic,... he'd be dominant.....)

Baker has had good moments for us and yes he gets a lot of criticism here and that can sometimes take ugly turns and that's unfortunate.

But he really compromises us defensively and compounds that by not being able to rebound near to the level of someone his size and playing the position that he does. And if you isolate on him defensively, you can really see how significant his issues are there, it was glaring last night.

The significance of it is that he almost has to score 20 points and be very efficient offensively to justify his minutes. He's done that a few times this year, but was not even close to that last night.

Last night Dean and Baker combined for 38 minutes played, 5 points and 3 rebounds. Neither were very good

This is who Will Baker is!! IF he wants to play hard he is a very good player for LSU. When he checks out, he really checks out and does not try to do anything. He has talent, but no excuse a man his size not banging under basket. You know after the first 5-10 mins in the game what your getting from him. Not sure if you notice, but MMcman knows this as well and has tried to run the offense through him MANY of the last games.
Baker makes his shots early he plays harder, misses shots dude disappears in all aspects of the game. MMcman is well aware of this.

He needs a summer of 10,000 passes.

He’s a goofy stiff with swiffer dusters for hands. But he does bring value to the offensive side when he’s making shots.
