Being from Louisiana is like being from a third world country.. you don't necessarily hate it and are proud of it in a way, especially with the cultural stuff that comes along with Louisiana. But let's get real, it's objectively terrible in almost every sense. If you were able to choose where to be born you would be crazy to choose Louisiana.

I travel all over for work and still choose to live here. I love living in the NOLA area and a walk uptown is one of my favorite things to do. We have all the entertainment and sporting we could want besides skiing and mountain climbing. I think this is a truly beautiful state.

Do we have issues? Of course. But some of you who believe everywhere else is perfect don’t live in the reality I’ve experienced.

Not to mention Nola area is a short drive to nice beaches in AL/FL.

All these people swearing Tx is perfect never mention the issues here and the difference in COL. they tax you to death in Tx. Crime rates aren’t non existent. Worst of all, everything and everyone is super generic. The homes are almost all lookalike cookie cutter. The people are all transplants mostly from CA, NY and the Midwest. They’re all weird and standoffish. Nothing like Louisiana folk.
