To be clear, he is absolutely not a couple weeks away. I'll go ahead and stop this message board rumor before it catches hold. If he pitches at all this year, it will be at the end of the season and even then only for very brief outings.

Its been rumored he is only a couple weeks away. Apparently he's been throwing, etc
"As far as Chase, he’s just a couple of months behind Jaden because of the timing of the injury. He hurt it at the end of March last year, so his surgery was a little bit later. I’m hopeful that we will have Chase at the end of the year. I’m keeping him on the active roster because, as you saw last year, if we can get him back at the end that would be a nice shot in the arm because he’s really talented."

Ole Miss Hunter Elliott tried to give it a go last season at Ole Miss before ultimately having Tommy John and will miss all of this season.
Last year when Javen Coleman came back it was really amazing considering the timing of his surgery the year before. I remember Jay mentioning some procedure he had that meant a shorter time frame to return but have no idea if Noot and Shores did anything similar. With the pitching depth on this team I doubt Shores gets rushed back at all.

I'm glad you know more than the head coach. You should tell JJ to get his shite together.

What does understanding TommyJohn surgery have to do with the topic. He could have portaled out, retired , whatever maybe. It's odd I haven't a thing about him and his progress. Thanks to those lending info here. I believe I found out more in this than the media gives.
