Well, y'all grab torches and pitchfforks, run Johnson's body up the flagpole as another example and start all over.

Why is this a bad thing? If he fails to deliver, then starting over is the right thing to do.

You'll be back to this point in months.

Ok, and if no pressure is applied to Johnson, then what? We aren't back to this but instead have nothing for the border and everything for Ukraine? If he caves, that's what we get.

quote:

You will get your border secure when you make the right deals with the right people. Thats how it works. Thats not how I want it to work but that is reality in DC.

There is never going to be a "deal". A uni-party doesn't make deals with itself. They are never going to secure the border unless and until it is forced to happen, like voting them out so the decision is not up to them any longer. You don't make deals with people that do nothing but stab you in the back.

You’ll be starting over ad infinitum at regular intervals, rather short ones, unless and until we get honest with reality and get a grip on the ancient art of setting reasonable, realistic, rational, logical, and responsible expectations. I feel pretty confident that no Speaker ever, nor any elected representative period, for that matter, will be able to satisfy anywhere near all of your demands. Because along with your set of demands are quite a few million others. Not exactly easy to cross off the list everyones’ demands.
