I don’t know why, but I never realized how punchable his face is until I did the image search to find that picture.

I think his face is universally seen that way. Specifically in this role. Whether people are consciously aware of it or not.

What’s interesting is that Ben Linus wasn’t originally written to be a main villain for the series, but Michael Emerson was so awesome in the role that they adapted their thinking. Damon Lindelof explains it really well in interviews and panels.

You should have seen him when he had a story-arc on The Practice back in the 90s.
