I will give the guy credit for not being a keyboard warrior and actually putting his money where his mouth was.
But at the same time it sounds like he was bored and unfulfilled by his life as a lawyer and missed the action and adrenaline rush he had in combat. The problem for him is he did not have the advantage of being part of a far more advanced military fighting against a poorly equipped enemy.
He might as well have just set himself on fire and screamed Free Ukraine as he died. Would have accomplished the same thing.
