I’ll even go further… my college apartment, Sharlo on brightside( now called retreat at brightside or something) was $450/month in 1996.

Burbank Commons even in the mid 00s when I was in college was like $400 per person. Had 3 roommates so total for the unit was like $1600 but still a 4 BR 2 Ba for $1600 is probably a unicorn now.

A 1 bedroom in Varn Villa at Brightside was $515 in 2007. Utilities included.

I rented a two bed/1 bath apartment in Cheyenne,WY for $360/month back in 2002. So, when I had a roommate, I probably paid a total of $250 when we split rent+utilities.
