I can't believe I have to agree with mmcgrath!
12-6 in the SEC next year or he's fired? What if LSU goes 10-8 in the SEC but is a 7th seed in the NCAA tournament? LSU went 9-9 in the SEC, yet reached the NCAA Tournament with the 3rd best seed position (6th) in 20 years. Should Wade have been fired for that (NOT the off court issues)?
Setting some arbitrary record requirement without any context is absurd. Arkansas was 8-10 in SEC play last year, yet reached the NCAAT. Vanderbilt was 11-7...and didn't reach the NCAAT. What performance would you prefer?

I didn't cover every combination of overall record, SEC record, NCAA invite, NIT invite, etc. I'll stick with the general 12-6 SEC record. A losing or break even record getting an NCAA tourney invite is the exception not the rule. But yeah, 9-9 or 8-10 record in the SEC is obviously the definition of average or mediocre. LSU MBB should be better than mediocre. Maybe you disagree with that which is fine.
