Not related but related.... One time Paul Harvey was telling a story about how midwestern farmers were approached by the state (CRS on which one) biologists about a rare bird and to report any sightings to a hotline. Well they did, and then the state biologists came in and exercised some rule and created 50 acre zones around the spot after they verified the rare birds were indeed there. No farming could occur within these zones. Well the next year the state biologists were perplexed as to why after a good first year there were no rare bird sightings the following year. No one went on record but the message that the farmers were instead shooting the birds made its way back to the state biologists.
