Where are y’all getting the idea that this would be built downtown? I haven’t seen that at all.

I have read that it would be on LSU property. Seems more likely that they’re looking at a location on (or immediately adjacent to) campus than building a new LSU-owned arena downtown. Unless y’all know something I don’t..

In the footprint of the river center. Also, the areana needs to be name after Pete. They should just gut thr PMAC and renovate it.

Not sure they can build this on the site of the River Center without demolishing everything that's there - including the convention hall. The convention hall actually needs to be expanded significantly.

I like the idea of naming it - wherever it is - after Pete Maravich.

I have the sinking feeling it will be named after Gordan McKernan though. Or maybe Raising Cane's or Walk On's.

If it's on campus, I'd like to see it right on Nicholson near the north gates, close to the PMAC. If it's off campus, I'd like to see it downtown or between downtown and LSU. I don't want it to be in the suburbs or way down at the "south campus" off GSRI.
