Anyone notice a recent uptick in the bs of doing so? Haven’t got a serious hit on one I posted on market place and La sportsman recently. Although, I’ve already got hit with the common “I can send a check” ones and the newest “you pay $70 for a boat fax and I’ll refund you when I buy it”. I never even heard of that! Maybe the market is flooded at the moment or the scammers are in full force. Who knows, but the boat fax kinda made me chuckle over an aluminum fishing boat. I know, I know, dear fb lol.

I sold a hunting truck recently. Listed it on Craigslist Houston and wife listed it in Facebook Marketplace.

Almost immediately I was hit with scammers on Craigslist. "I want to buy it", etc...etc... all bullshite scams. Pulled the listin and stated truck would be sold for cash and we would meet at that person't bank to handle the transaction and title changeover during normal banking hours M-F or Sat AM. All scam contacts immediately stopped.

Honestly... who buy a boat, truck, motorcycle, etc... without seeing it and hearing it run?

I have a jetski for sale and look at the persons profile picture before I decide if I am going to respond or not.
