My wife and I did two weeks in Italy and three weeks in Spain on separate trips. We utilized Airbnb laundries (a couple of times) and hotel laundry service a few times and traveled only with small carry-on suitcases. We were never without clean clothes to wear. It’s not difficult to do.

Hint ladies: They don’t know not do they care that you (gasp) have worn the same clothes(clean) multiple times.

It's all about me and what I think and the options of clothing I want. I have no desire to wear the same pair of pants or shorts 3 times in a week even if it's clean. It's just boring. But I also don't care if I have a large bag and have to check it.

We pack light but some people don’t want to be wearing the same clothes in all their pictures.

hotel laundry service

At least in Brussels, there was an off site laundry a block away that charged 70% less than hotel laundry. I think most FDA will tell you where such services are as long as you don't ask them in front of their managers. Even if work was paying, I had a visceral hate of paying $4 to wash a pair of underwear, or for a pair of socks, with the hotel (Marriott.)

Women are going to do their own thing, but I could pack 6-7 dress shirts for a three week trip for work, and just keep the order random in when I wore them. Summer in Asia can change that calculus a bit though, especially with how the Japanese can smoke you to death in an average restaurant. There's no amount of Febreeze that can make that go away.

Especially if you wear synthetic underwear and undershirts, which I wouldn't re-wear in between washings, they scrunch up into nothing in a bag. For me, taking a 29" on a work trip was designed more around me not having to crush creases into my suits and dress shirts to get them to fit into a 21".
