This dude is pitching well. Throws gas, seems to have feel for his breaking ball today as well.
But he's not going very much longer in this game. And they're not going to bring in anyone as good or better than him from the pen.

His pitches have a little bit of movement on them so that automatically spells disaster for a lot of the LSU hitters.

It's just amazing how Hurd can look so good one batter and look lost the very next batter.
Usually pitchers get in a rhythm and stay close to that.
Hurd is batter to batter, you have no idea what you are gonna get.
You can't afford that inconsistency Game 1 in a SEC series.
It's why I think Holman needs to go game 1 and use Hurd like you did in Omaha in relief at times.

Broadcast said they had no one under a 5 ERA last year I think. Hopefully the bullpen wakes up our bats.
