You can understand the resistance to the Covid-19 vaccines but the measles and most other vaccines were thoroughly vetted, tested and shown to be both effective and safe.
But some idiots who complain about the science being political still listen to fake science like vaccines cause autism even when the author of the paper making the claim they use admitted to fabricating data.

The poll showing Republicans getting wary of vaccines (although MMR seems stupid) post-Covid isn't surprising. When you get lied to by the entire health apparatus of the United States, it's an almost reasonable response.
But the idea of mandates being less popular among Rs than Ds before is weird. I think the anti-vaccine crusade began pre-Covid and I assumed it was largely on the white suburban left.
