Before Michiganders decide to adopt an illegal, I’d recommend they first …
Adopt every child who currently finds him/herself living within the Michigan foster system.
Next they should turn their attention to opening their homes to every “chronically homeless” person or individual with disabilities currently living on Michigan streets.
And those homeless veterans? They may appreciate a room in a Michigan household.
Statistics show homeless, unaccompanied youth under 25 are in desperate need of a place to rest. What PR campaigns has Michigan launched on their behalf?
Homelessness in older adults is projected to triple by 2030. I’d be curious to know how many of these seniors are now being relocated to Michigan residences.
The numbers of homeless animals awaiting adoption is devastating. Has Michigan emptied the kennels of every animal shelter and cleared the streets of unhoused domestic animals?

As it stands, in places like NYC, migrants are getting more financial assistance than foster families
