You are WAYYYYY overstating this even for those schools.
yeah, comparing it to football is just asinine.
but there's 10-15 or so schools that draw bigger crowds for Baseball than they do basketball.
and only 3 of those are in the SEC.
and without looking at the attendance numbers of all Div 1 schools, I'd be willing to bet there are probably a few more that draw at least similar numbers.
the number of schools with mens baseball teams that sell more tickets per game than women's basketball is even higher.
so no, not football big. but big enough to warrant a little more coverage.

ESPN covers college baseball more than all the other entities combined. They televised countless games every season.
