Struggled with 3 walks, probably nerves. Gave up one run and finished with a strikeout. He flashed some very electric stuff. Im excited to see how he settles into his role this year!

I think he had some control issues in the spring as well. I’d imagine he’ll get a ton of mid week work and hopefully be a big contributor in the back half of the season

Looks like Aidan moffit to me, throws hard but can’t even get it close to the strike zone

I had a feeling this was going to be the case early this year. If you watch his prospect videos on YouTube, it’s the same thing, he struggles with the strike zone and benefits from high school hitters chasing pitches out of the zone. He’s gonna have to simplify his mechanics and trust his stuff. He’ll be very good, it’ll take a little time, like
Moffit.

He showed plenty of nerves, so I can't judge him too much from his first outing. He'll be fine.
