I’m not excited about Clemson. They’re about to be a forgettable program. I’d rather FSU and UNC. I do like think that UNC and Virginia fit the Big 10 academic mold way better though.

To the folks suggesting that schools like UNC might prefer the B1G over the SEC, I think there’s been a very important (read: greedy) misstep by the B1G. They just took Oregon and Washington at 50% reduced shares, and they will be taking reduced shares for years. How on earth could they turn around and invite UNC or UVA at full shares? Meanwhile, the SEC has always extended full membership invites from the start. It certainly makes the SEC a more attractive offer, if both the SEC and B1G are on the table for some of these ACC schools.
