tigahlova needs to be changde to wadenutlova. Wade inherited a shite show?LOL. With Antonio Blackely,Duop Reath, Brandon Sampson,Skyler Mays, (future NBA players)Aaron Epps and NO investigation. NO possible sanctions.. You are a special kind of stupid if you think that is the same as what Mcmahon came into. You people are so blind with hatred for Woodward you can't even see how stupid you sound.

I totally agree with this response which obliterates any argument that Wade inherited a similar situation in 2017 to McMahon in 2022. One correction Antonio Blakeney did not play for Wade as he declared for the draft at the end of the 2017 season.

It should also be noted that the biggest reason Wade had some success in his first season is that he kind of lucked into Tremont Waters. Waters had signed with Georgetown but decided to transfer when the Georgetown coach was terminated. Credit to Wade as he had apparently built a relationship with Waters while at VCU, However, LSU would likely have had a losing season without Waters.

Wade had 4 future NBA players on that first team and Aaron Epps who was invited to an NBA tryout camp. Contrast that to McMahon who inherited an empty roster then was able to get Juice Williams, Adam Miler and Mwani Wilkinson to reconsider and remain at LSU. Unfortunately Miller never regained his pre-injury form and Wilkinson missed most of the season with a shoulder injury. McMahon had to hastily pull a team together through the portal. The only possible NBA player was K J Willliams. There were a few players who would be good complementary players on a solid roster such as Cam Hayes, Derek Fountain and Trey Hannibal, but nothing like the talent Wade inherited.

For all practical purposes this season is McMahon's true first year and he has a reasonable chance to finish with a similar record to Wade's first season when he ended 19-15 and 8-10 in the SEC for ninth place.

And that is what the current team is made up of. Role players. There is no "the guy". It is up to mcmahon to get that guy(s). Maybe Ward or Reed become that guy. Maybe it's one of the commitments for next year. Maybe Cook elevates his game. But the constant "mcmahon suck arse" BS is so old. A friend who has a big booster as a client said that Baker was dealing with RSV for a month but played through the illness and it is why he is looking better on the offensive side last few games. We'll see where they end up .

He lucked into landing an elite player from Connecticut? How is that luck? What’s lucky, is having 4th and 5th years players from the state of Louisiana that want to return to LSU. What would this season look like if CMM didn’t “luck” into Jordan Wright or Jalen Cook?
