Let's face it, Jay likely promised Thatcher that spot in the rotation after he was nails at the end of last season. He didn't have the best performance of spring practice so you have to believe that Jay will honor his word and give him ever opportunity to keep that spot. IMO it will be up to Thatcher to keep that Friday starter's role moving forward.
I have no problem with that decision especially knowing the dudes we have in the pen who can come in to relieve him if he is not on top of his game.
